OutboundSync → Attio

Attio CRM integration beta

Connect Attio as a Connected Account in OutboundSync and sync one-way email and social activity onto Attio person and company records. Each event writes a Note on the Person, and you can write the same event to an OutboundSync custom object — Attio's model for data that is not a person or company.

What the beta does

A simpler Attio rollout built for activity visibility first

Attio is supported today as a real CRM connection in OutboundSync, but this beta is intentionally lighter than HubSpot and Salesforce. The focus is simple: get outbound activity onto Attio records cleanly, prove the workflow, and expand configurability as the beta matures. OutboundSync is also listed in the Attio App Store — read the App Store announcement for OAuth setup and ecosystem context.

  • One-way outbound email activity can be synced onto Attio person and company records during the current beta.
  • One-way outbound social activity can be synced onto Attio person and company records during the current beta.
  • Optional OutboundSync custom object: one record per event after the Note, so you can filter outbound activity and build Attio lists and views. Enable it on CRM Settings.
  • Teams can use synced activity inside the Attio lists and views they already build. OutboundSync does not ship prebuilt lists or views for this beta.
  • Onboarding is handled with the OutboundSync team, not as a self-serve flow.

Attio custom objects

Does OutboundSync support Attio custom objects?

Attio custom objects track data that does not fit People or Companies. OutboundSync writes one locked custom object named OutboundSync — one record per event after the Person Note — so you can filter activity, save views, and run workflows in Attio. Notes still write when it is off. Enable it on CRM Settings.

Custom object records are data you can report on, then group into lists or saved views for a process. Notes stay on the Person. OutboundSync does not ship prebuilt lists or views. It does not write to other custom objects. Setup is in the Attio CRM beta guide. For the walkthrough, see Attio custom objects for outbound activity.

How to enable the OutboundSync custom object in Attio

Create or re-sync the custom object on Attio CRM Settings after Attio is connected.

  1. Connect Attio, then open Attio CRM Settings.
  2. Choose Create custom object, or Re-sync attributes if it already exists. That turns on Write OutboundSync records on webhook events.
  3. Send a test event and confirm the Note on the Person plus one OutboundSync record.

How it maps

Attio activity stays readable for reps and RevOps

The current Attio beta is built around activity capture, not deep bi-directional configuration. That means faster rollout, lower conflict risk, and a simpler beachhead while the integration gets tested in production.

OutboundSync webhook receiver setup for an Attio connected account

Email channel

One-way outbound email activity can be synced onto Attio person and company records so reps can review it in Attio during beta.

Social channel

One-way outbound social activity can be synced onto Attio person and company records so campaign context stays visible in Attio during beta.

OutboundSync custom object

One record per send or reply after the Note. Filter it, save a view, or drop it into an Attio list. Enable it on CRM Settings.

Beta limits

What is different from HubSpot and Salesforce today

  • Attio is currently one-way only.
  • Attio has less configurability and less depth than HubSpot or Salesforce today.
  • Phone activity is not supported in the current Attio beta.
  • Setup is guided by the OutboundSync team while the beta expands.

Next step

Book onboarding, then test on a real Attio record

We will connect Attio, build the webhook receiver, and confirm email or social activity on a real Attio person or company before you launch.

Attio integration FAQ

  • Is the Attio integration self-serve?
No. Attio is in beta, and onboarding is handled with the OutboundSync team. We help connect Attio, create the webhook receiver, and verify the first test activity.
  • Is Attio sync one-way or two-way?
The current Attio beta is one-way only. Activity flows from your sales engagement platform into Attio.
  • What can OutboundSync sync into Attio?
During the current beta, OutboundSync syncs one-way outbound email and social activity onto Attio person and company records. Each event writes a Note on the matched Person. You can also enable an optional OutboundSync custom object for one structured record per event.
  • How do I enable OutboundSync custom object records in Attio?
After the OutboundSync team connects Attio, open Attio CRM Settings and create the OutboundSync custom object. A successful create or re-sync turns on Write OutboundSync records on webhook events. You need the Attio scopes object_configuration:read-write and record_permission:read-write, then reconnect. Setup details are in the Attio CRM beta guide.
  • Can synced activity be used in Attio lists and views?
Yes. Teams can use the synced activity in the lists and views they build in Attio. OutboundSync does not ship prebuilt lists or views for the current beta.
  • Does the Attio beta support phone activity?
No. The current Attio beta supports email and social activity only.
